Trade → lee@kanto.ukKanto events are built for families. The people running them are background-checked twice over, every young player is on a named ticket, and parents never have to leave.
Lee and Jo run events as certified Play! Pokémon Professors. The Professor programme is The Pokémon Company International's own certification for event organisers, and holding it means being vetted and background-screened by them — it is not self-declared.
On top of that, we hold Enhanced DBS checks through Essex Youth Services — the highest level of criminal-record check available for people working with children in England.
Certificates for both are available on request — email lee@kanto.uk or just ask us at an event.
Youth events are for players 16 and under, with capped numbers so we always know exactly who is in the room. Every ticket is named, booked by a parent or guardian, and checked against the door list on entry.
Parents and guardians are always welcome to stay — we'd rather you did. There are proper tables, somewhere to sit, and tea.
We never publish photographs of children without a parent or guardian's consent. Event photos used on this site are chosen and checked with that rule first.
If anything ever worries you — at an event or after it — speak to Lee or Jo on the day, or email lee@kanto.uk. It comes straight to us, and we take it from there. Serious concerns about a child's welfare should also go to Essex County Council's children's services or, in an emergency, 999.
