It grew out of wanting more for my club
Kanto is an independent Pokémon community in Colchester, run by Lee and Jo. What began as a way to put on good events grew — one need at a time — into a full platform: bookings, then check-in, then an app for the door, then proper trainer badges, because no one should leave without one.
Never a business plan. Just a developer and a dad, building more for his club.

Sell out the night
Online booking with real capacity, and member codes for regulars who settle at the door. Card payments run through Stripe — secure, and handled entirely by them, never by us — and the ticket is just a link: a QR to scan and a barcode for the till.
Tickets that live in the wallet
Apple Wallet passes are live; Google Wallet is built and awaiting Google's approval. Each carries the exact code the door scans — nothing to install, nothing to lose.
Everyone gets a badge
Auto-generated, division-aware trainer IDs — emailed the moment someone books, and print-ready for the lanyard. Their photo, their Play ID, one tap.
Run the door from your pocket
An offline-first iPhone scanner: check people in, take door payments, watch the room fill in real time — and it syncs the moment signal returns.
One place to run it all
Events, attendees, badges, member codes, the mailing list, the homepage — a dashboard that answers 'what's happening right now', on desktop or phone.
